To everyone who is writing to this List to request that Tony Sinclair
send you a copy of the tuning guide, note that Tony requested that you
"e-mail me and I will pass it along".
That is, please send requests *directly* to him so that he can send you a copy.

Understand that if you simply "reply" to the ADSM-L posting, you are replying
to the totality of the mailing list: your request is being sent around the
world to more than a thousand individuals, taking up Listserv time, archive
space, network bandwidth, mailserver processing time, mailbox space, and the
time of all those people who have to subsequently delete the superfluous mail
that should have been sent to a single individual in the first place.

Please... Whenever you encounter someone on this or any other mailing list
offering to send you something you are interested in, DO NOT reply to the
list: instead, extract the originator's email address from the posting and
send that individual your request. This will make life easier for everyone on
the list, in not being deluged by all the chaff which is getting in the way of
the active threads which we subscribe to mailing lists for.

thanks, Richard Sims, Boston University OIT
