I took a SCSI class and the rule of thumb in the class was 4 devices of the
same type per adapter. Sorry no personal experience all of my drives are ESCON
attached, lets me access up to 12
(would be 16, but only have 12 per controller) drives per server, but currently
my max. hookup
is 8 drives on a server.
