Hi Ginny,
Yes I did. I practiced doing the ADSM restore a few times using
RESTORE DB since I had never done one and wanted to try a few
different parameters, but I also did the ADRDSSU job once. However,
since ADSM was down to do the ADRDSSU backup, I restored without
bouncing it. Thanks! I guess I need to add one more step to my testing
procedures.

Bob,
I also backed up my db, logs and volhistory files with ADRSSU, and
unsuccessfully attempted a restore back to 2.1. When I tried to restart
my server
under 2.1 I got a message indicating that up-level program data was
found on disk,
and to restart the server under the higher level. Did you actually perform
the
restore with ADRSSU, or just the dump?
Thx,
Ginny

Subject: RESTORE DB TO 2.1 -Reply
Hi Ginny,
I did the upgrade last month and it was painless. My database is only 2
GB and takes around 25 minutes to restore. For the upgrade, I also
backed everything up with ADRDSSU, it restored in half the time and I felt
more comfortable with it under certain scenarios like ADSM not coming
up at all or having to backout after only running my IVPs.
Good Luck,
Bob
