We run ADSM/VM V2, but use Sterling's VMTAPE.  I suspect that the exit
machines' code looks a lot alike.  If you want my mount/delete exits,
you're welcome to the code.  As far as the exit machine closing the tape
at the end of tape processing, at least in the VMTAPE implementation,
that's not how it works.  The server starts the exit machine which does
nothing but send a MOUNT command to VMTAPE and upon getting a good RC,
logoff.  The good RC really just means that the VMTAPE service machine
got the command and there is no syntax error.  VMTAPE checks the volid
and gives the drive to the ADSM service machine, DSMSERV.  When DSMSERV
is done with it, it detaches it.
