Not sure if this is what you are looking for, but, here goes...

We are currently migrating from an AIX (rs/6000 42t, AIX 4.1.4, ADSM
V2, 2 IBM 7331 Auto Loaders, 8mm tape) to an NT (COMPAQ 5000, NT 4.0,
ADSM V3, STK9710 with DLT7000 drives, DLT tape) platform. We are
migrating by exporting and then importing our data (using NFS - we have
an EMC Symmetrix 3500 with 400g that is connected to both Servers - all
of the disk is not allocated to ADSM!). This process has allowed us to
migrate our nodes/file spaces at our own pace. The down side is that
the attention to migration sometimes takes a back seat to other work and
it is extending the requirement to "manage" two ADSM server
environments.

I read the link, but do not understand how that applies to my
original
        question.

Has anyone ever moved their ADSM server between dissimilar
platforms,
say AIX to Solaris or Solaris to AIX for that matter. What was
involved
and what problems if any arose.
