A couple of methods that might work.
1. Replace the files with dummy files with the same name, and run a
backup,
alter the files, and run another backup until all version are replaced
with
the dummy files.
2. define a management class that keeps no inactive versions, and use
the
include/exclude list to bind the files to the new class. Run an
incremental
to rebind the files, delete the source files, and run another
incremental.
