Thanks Lothar.
This is what I would like to do: avoid this file ( /etc/ibmatl.pid )
being archived with ADSM.
This file is used by the lmcp daemon which controls our IBM 3494 Robot. I
know it's totally unusefull but how do I exclude it during an Archive?

The manual says include-exclude is used by backup and HSM.
BTW: I recommend that you backup things like /etc/ibmatl.pid (i.e. the
whole
OS)
with the "System Backup" function in SMIT, by which you'll get
a
bootable
system backup, with which you can restore your machine (at
least
the OS and
the rootvg).
Hope this helps.
Greetings, Lothar
