     1) be the "root" user
     2) start your dsm with the option -node=xxx (where xxx is the name of
     the client node whose files you want to restore on the machine you are
     currently working on.
     3) DO NOT perform any backup operations while pretending to be the
     other node...

     This is only one way... the easy way but you have to be root, if you
     need to set this type of action up for others for day to day
     operations look into the "set access" client command.

Greetings

I am sure I have read that we can do a restore to a different node than
we backed-up from. If this is so (and I wasn't dreaming!) please would
some-one let me know how. I normally use the GUI to do my restores.

We are running AIX 4.1.5
ADSM Server 2.1.5
ADSM Client 2.1.10
