WIN NT Registry Restore

Sure would be nice if this feature was available!
I had this happen to me, and I had to "fake out" the regrest command. If
memory serves, what I did was this:
1. Did a manual restore of the version I wanted from ADSM.SYS
2. Did a manual backup of the same file.
At this point I checked the file to insure that it was now the active backup.
Then I did the REGREST command to restore the registry. A real pain. Sure
would be nice if REGREST had some capability built into it.

Can a -todate be done when restoring a registry? Or do I need to use
previous estanciations of the adsm.sys directory to go back in time?
We're having a time getting the restore of the winnt directory in sync with
the registry. During the restore, do we need to do both a restore of winnt
and then a registry restore, or just the restore?
Thanks,
