I always lock the node first:
> LOCK NODE nodename

Then export the node:
> EXPORT NODE nodename FILEDATA=ALL DEV=deviceclass

On the target server, import the node.  You will have to provide
the volsers in the proper order.  (That information can be found in the
volume history):
>IMPORT NODE nodename FILEDATA=ALL VOL=volser1,volser2,volser3,...

Subject:  Moving a client from one MVS server to another MVS server




Hi All,
   I would like to move a Novell client from one MVS server to another
MVS server to better balance the workload.  We are running ADSM V3.1.0
on both servers.  Can anyone tell me if, and how to accomplish this
without losing any backup/archive information?
