Thanks I found out that the problem was with the download it did not
     match in size. Once I re downloaded it the process went fine. It is
     now working Thanks Again.

First, I would make sure the sunadsm.pkg file is in the /home/id directory.
Second, if the file is there, then make sure the permissions allow for reading
of the file.  I just downloaded the package and followed the instructions,
except I issued,

pkgadd -d ./sunadsm.pkg

and I received the packages to be installed.

     I am having trouble with ADSM ver. 3 for Solaris 2.6.
     I have gone to
     http://www.storage.ibm.com/software/adsm/adsercli.htm#MS
     and clicked on IP21297 which put me on the ftp site page. I then
     downloaded IP21307.sunadsm.pkg.Z and did a umcompress as per the
     install instructions in IP21307.README.FTP in step 2. Then renamed it
     with the command
         mv IP21307.sunadsm.pkg sunadsm.pkg
     Here is the problem when I do
         pkgadd -d /home/id/sunadsm.pkg
     I get a message that states :
     ERR > could not process datastream from /home/id/sunadsm.pkg
     Any ideas would be appreciated
