Is it possible to label an individual dlt tape in a DLT4700 library. ?
[Kelly Lipp] Yes. Oh, you wanted the how, did you?

I assume you're on NT. I'll further assume you have ADSM V3. You have two
choices: use dsmlabel either from the server utilities window or by getting
to the utils directory and running it directly from there. Don't specify
-search. dsmlabel will ask you for the volume label. After labeling, you
will need to checkin the cartridge using checkin libvol command.
will need to checkin the cartridge using checkin libvol command.

The better way, IMHO, is to use label libvol command from within ADSM. Put
the unlabeled cartridge in the robot and issue label libvol libname
labelsource=barcode search=yes checkin=scratch.  If you don't have the
barcode don't use that switch. The checkin happens automatically.

Is labeling for DLT4700 available through the Web admin interface, if
not when will it be. ?
[Kelly Lipp] Yes. Poke around the volumes section of the library tab.
 You'll find it.
What is the latest service pack for ADSM server 3.1 on NT ?
[Kelly Lipp] There is a PTF2 for ADSM NT. Check the ftp site.

Is it possible to create a 9GB storage pool volume on a hard disk, this
can't be done through Admin client GUI ?
[Kelly Lipp] No. 2GB max. No, you can't do all of the steps through the
GUI. You must first format the volumes using dsmfmt and then assign these
volumes to the pools. Use dsmfmt from the utils directory. The syntax is
dsmfmt -data c:\mumblefratz\data01.dsm 2000. This will create a 2000 MB
file.

Then in the GUI, assign this newly created volume to the desired storage
pool.

Is it possible to restore a TIF file backed up by a UNIX client onto a
mac client
[Kelly Lipp] I don't think so!
