I'm hearing now from our tech people that the version on our mainframe is
not current - and there in lies my problem. My PC is ready for the 2 Gbyte
file but I am held back because of the older mainframe release.

Hello Jacki,
I am currently using ADSM client, version 2.1.6G, on NT 3.51. I upgraded
from version 2.1.5 because it failed backing up a file of 3.5 Gbytes.
Now, it works ! So, I do not understand why you cannot backup a file of
2Gbytes with the same version as mine ...
Bye,
Didier
