I've just been doing some looking at accounting records from AIX (v2.5.12) and
the same thing holds true there; cancelled backup sessions are NOT recorded in
the dsmaccnt.log file.

Subject:  SMF Records for ADSM




     We are running adsm version 2 at ptf level 13 on an mvs system.  Has
     anyone else noticed that adsm does not write smf accounting records
     for sessions that the adsm administrator cancels.  I opened a problem
     record with IBM support about a month ago and they are still in the
     process of checking this out.  We are using the smf records for
     billing our customers and would like to be able to bill for partial as
     well as full backups.
