Hi List!

I know this has been discussed here before, but I am still not sure why I
really need the Connect Agent.
Yesterday I started to back up our Notes server (4.6 on NT4.0/SP3). I
expected to see tons and tons of log entries complaining about not beeing
able to read *.nsf files because they are open. I didn't. I could even back
up my own mail database while writing this email to the list.

Is a database consistent on the tape if it is backed up while the database
file is opened by the Notes server?
Is the only reason to use the Connect Agent the ability to back up portions
of the database instead of the hole file?
