There is a utility shipped with ADSM called lbtest.  It's in the utils
directory. Syntax is

c:>lbtest -dev lbx.0.0.y

Where the x is the scsi address and the y is the port number.  Both
available from the server utilities diagnostic screen.  Once in lbtest,
select manual test, select open, select return element count and then do
what you want.  Make sure you've got your command window scrolling as the
stuff goes by awful fast.  You can get everything you  might want to know
using lbtest.  Make sure after that open you get a success message.  If
not, it wasn't!
