You need to do a 'DEL VOLHIST TODATE=-x' where 'x' is the number of days back
you want to go. I have 7 tapes, one for each day of the week, and do a 'DEL
VOLHIST TODATE=-6' before the scheduled database backup. That frees up the
tape that has the 7 day old backup.

If you don't have the time to do it right the first time, where will you find
the time to do it again?
