Another question that comes to mind is, Were these tapes new in this
configuration,
or did you upgrade from DLT4000? The same media can be used for both. If they
were originally labelled on DLT4000s or if they were labelled at a lower density
than the equivalent of DLT35C, you will have to relabel them at a higher
density to
get the drive to write on them at maximum density.
