We went through this process a few weeks ago. No problems were found. The
only thing I would suggest is to replace atldd and atape. We also had to
reflash the drives to the latest levels as well. Good luck with everything.

Subject:  where to find PTF U452232 for ADSM server 3.1 on AIX 4.2.1




I cant find U452232 ptf on the ftp site index.storsys.ibm.com for server
v3.1 for aix 4.2.1? Anybody download this ptf, its mentioned in the readme
doc that comes with the server ?
        Also, has anybody upgrade from 2.1 to 3.1 on AIX 4.2.1 with a 3494
tape Library with 3590 tape drives. Did you have to remove your tape drives
from AIX, what about the atldd.driver (I'm at 3.1.0.4) and Atape (Im at
3.1.1.0)
Should I update these to the most current rev's before I update the server?
