We just solved our problem with ADSM NT , STK 9710, and DLT7000 drives
marking a tape read-only and putting it into an error state with a write
error whenever it reached the end of a volume. We upgraded the firmware on
our DLT drives to level 70 and everything works fine now. NT control panel,
tape drives, properties reports DLT7000 version 1E46.
Thanks to a previous poster for the advice on obtaining the firmware fix.
