Hi, I bypassed the automount problem in the following way. It is not perfect
but it does offer some protection.
When a user connects to OMVS the /etc/profile script is run. In the script I
inserted the following command:
nohup dsmc incr $HOME 2>&1> /dev/null &
This command backs up the user's home dir ($HOME), using ADSM under a separate
thread so it does not
hold the user up.
Ideally the backup should be run when the user disconnects, but I am not aware
of what, if any, scripts are
run when you logout.
