You only have two choices:  Seach ALL the slots and check in what each one, or
check in one at a time from the 1st port of the I/O station.   ADSM does not
share the library with other applications, so it expects to own all the slot
inventory, and thus you'll eventually want to check in all 240 cartridges.
(This does not hold true for libraries with a "split" mode capability, because
the each split makes it look to ADSM like a single physical library.)  If you
really only want to check in one, you'll need to remove it and check it in thru
the port.  You can use the tapeutil program that comes with Atape (AIX)
/IBMtape (Solaris) to move the cartridge from the slot to the port if need be,
or of course just open the door.
