Can someone tell me what CLIO is? I just got the program directory to
install V3 on MVS, and there are several references to "if you're install
it to work with CLIO"... and I don't know if I am or not, I don't know what
that is..
THANKS!
Julie

Carol,
We have an ESCON connection between an ADSM for AIX client (Ver 2) on
an SP2 and the ADSM for MVS server (Ver 2 Rel 1 Level 13). We have
been using CLIO/S to backup data from this server and are averaging
around 2 MB/sec with a single backup sesion.
I did some earlier testing using 3 simultaneous ADSM backup sessions
from the SP2 to the MVS server over ESCON using CLIO/s and saw
throughput at around 3 MB/sec.
We have only been using ESCON and CLIO/S in production for a few
weeks, but so far we haven't seen any problems. The througput
for a single backup session is good, but in order to fully utilize
the bandwidth of the ESCON channel you have to run multiple backup
sessions going against different file systems simultaneously.
