Yes, we are still experiencing the problems you describe. The client
sees
a ANS4017E and the server issues either ANR0480W or ANR0481W, all TCP/IP
connection problems. I have an ETR open with IBM (as well as some other
participants on this listserv) on the problem. APAR PQ12577 has been
opened
and has fairly high priority with IBM right now.
We seem to see the problem more with NT server backups, especially
when it hits a very large file to back up. Running the backups directly to
a disk
storage pool, rather than tape, has helped somewhat, but we are still
experiencing
failures every night. We are also running TCP/IP 3.2 on an MVS server.
