I've had occurances where files went directly to tape because they
were bigger than any of the disk pool volumes. It only figured it out
after I added a diskpool of 2 gig in size (previous vols were 300-400
     meg).

     :)

Additional info: MAXSIZETHRESHOLD is set to NO LIMIT for this pool.

     Thanks.

IF MAXSIZETHRESHOLD is set on a disk pool and the file exceeds this size, ADSM
will attempt to write the file to the pool specified on the NEXTSTGPOOL
paremeter of the disk pool (which is a tape pool). I've had this happen.
