You can update volhist on the volume to reflect its movement to the
offsite. You then expire database backup tapes using the delete volhist
command on a periodic basis and move the scratch tapes from the off-site
back on-site. Usually, you will schedule the delete volhist type=dbbackup
todate=today-4 on a daily basis. This would give you four database backups.
