Thanks for the information, Colin.

Since /usr/lib/nls/msg/en_US already contains dsmserv.cat and dsmserv.hlp
files for the V2 server, this would seem to imply that it is not possible
to have both a V2 and V3 server on the same machine, unless I can play
some games with the language specification, or otherwise customize where
the server looks for its message repository.  Is that an accurate
assessment?  Any suggestions on how I might proceed?

I still think it ought to be possible to run a test V3 server on the same
machine as a production V2 server.  Not being able to do so will make it
more difficult for us to upgrade.
