Yes, you can. You define a device class of type FILE. The mechanics have
you specify a directory and file size. Then when you use this devclass
from a storage pool, ADSM creates volumes (files) in the specified
directory. This is actually a good way to do incremental db backups. You
can specify an NFS mounted disk and get the backup off of your ADSM server.
