Orin,

 I am not certain if someone has already responded to these questions.

1) My slang "kick off selectives" meant to run a Selective backup instead
of an Incremental backup.

2) Storage pools can be set up that colocate data by node or even by
filespace.  If you explain this to the user, maybe he'll be satisfied.  Of
course, you can also protect storage pools with copy storage pools.
