Gail,
I've never experienced this - but I've been warned about it. From
what I'm told,
if the backup session can be stopped with a CNTL+Q (without unloading the
NLM), you'll
be okay. If not - then the session should be cancelled by the server admin
to avoid
crashing the Netware server.

Subject: Stopping Backup/Archive Netware
We have clients installed in our netware 4x environment. My user started a
backup on the netware client from the command line - load dsmc -i -
He tried to stop the backups in the middle -- he ended up doing an unload
dsmc and the server crashed.
Has anyone run into this -- does anyone know how to stop backups on netware
clients without bringing down the scheduler? I unable to locate it in the
documentation?
Thanks, Gail
