OS: AIX 3.2.5.1

  ADSM server: AIX 2.1.0.15
  ADSM client: AIX 2.1.0.6

It seems that "move drmedia * wherestate=3Dvaultretrieve" isn't able to
move ADSM database backup volumes with a state of "Vault retrieve" to
"Courier retrieve". But it works fine with copy storage pool volumes.
And "q drmedia * wherestate=3Dvaultretrieve" does what it is expected
to do.
In the activity log I got the following:

  MOVE DRMEDIA started by <adminstrator> as process 16.
  MOVE DRMEDIA command ended: 0 volumes processed.
  MOVE DRMEDIA started by <adminstrator> as process 16 has ended.

Specifying dbbackup=3Dyes in the move drmedia command failed, too (in
the same way).
