Hello everyone,
I've got a question about the way backups are kept on ADSM.
Here's the scenario:

1. A new client is backed up for the first time. This means a
   full backup is performed.
2. As time goes by, certain files are modified or deleted. ADSM
makes incremental backups so stores only those files that
   have changed.

What happens to all the backup files after the maximum retention
period is over? If a file has never changed since the first time
it was stored, does it remain stored forever because it is marked
as an active file? If a file has changed once, is the latest backup
copy kept as the active file and never deleted? Or does ADSM keep
the very first file for good no matter what the changes are?

Any insights would be appreciated!
Thanks
