Yes you have to uninstall the scheduler service and install it again.
The same icon (points to dsmcsvci.exe) is used to install and
uninstall the service.

You may not be able to uninstall the service due to the node change.
If you can uninstall it. Make sure to shutdown and restart
Windows NT before you install it the second time.

We had someone change the nodename and reinstall the scheduler service.
But in the registry the service had an entry under the old node name.
The only  way we were able to clean things up was to use the regedit
command.
