After further investigation, I have found that adsm is scratching the
tape fine. Ca1 accepts it as scratched. However, the next time the=20
tape
is used, we get two messages.
The first is an mvs message that the tape is an unlabeled tape. Then=20
we
get an 88 message from ca1. It appears that when adsm scratches the
tape, it destroys its label.
Any ideas out there? I checked the activity log, and the messages=20
appear
normal. extract from log follows:
