We are having trouble with the implementation of CLIO/S, which we
intend to use with ADSM, we are an MVS site with a remote AIX SP/2
connected by an ESCON channel, and we have a couple of problems.

We currently have a problem open with IBM regarding the post install
linkedit (ANRCLIOK) which fails to include CLIOLOUT, CLIOMYID &
CLIONODE, there is an open APAR which is supposed to resolve it,
UQ05644 but its very sparse on detail.
Has anyone out there overcome this problem?

Aftre a good deal of trial and error we have been successful in using
an ESCON channel to link to an SP2 (AIX) and have CLFTP'd data (GET
from AIX) between the 2 systems.

We have attempted to use the module from the dodgy linkedit, as we were
told that the code that is missing is only DEBUG stuff and if we keep
debug off it should be OK. However we have now come up against problem
2. We get the following error which we have been unable to overcome to date.
ANR5107E Unable to initialize CLIO/S (IBM)TCP/IP driver - error binding
acceptor socket 1 (rc = 48).
Does anyone know what RC=48 means? The only reference we have found is
in the TCPIP for MVS Application Programming Interface Reference,
under socket return codes, which states 48 EADDRINUSE bind, with
error description of "The address is in a timed wait because a LINGER
delay from a previous close or another process is using the address".
IF this is the correct return code, can anyone enlighten me a bit more
on what it means as our IP knowledge is sparse to say the least.
We have checked the recommended solution, that, the TCPName in the
options file matches the target TCP/IP address space.

If anyone out there can help, we would be most grateful.
