Funny you should mention it. I just had a similar experience on an NT
client last night. The help didn't specify if the ADSM server, or ADSM
on the client should be restarted, so I did both. I halted ADSM and
restarted it, and I also stopped and restarted the Adsm Scheduler
service on the NT box. Upon testing today, the failure still occurred.
I have previously gotten this message on NetWare boxes, and it has been
a problem with access rights - the NetWare UserID was not supervisor
equivalent. After fixing the userID, the scheduled backup ran properly.
However, on this NT box, the backups have been running successfully for
over 6 months - it just got the error for the first time last night.
Here's a look at what's happening in my error log:

08/14/1997 18:57:13 FioGetOneDirEntry(): *** Access to NTFS file
security information denied, file/dir skipped ***
08/14/1997 19:10:44 ANS4033E System ran out of memory. Process ended.
08/14/1997 19:32:00 ANS4847E Scheduled event 'TYPHOON' failed. Return
code = 4.
08/14/1997 19:56:49 FioGetOneDirEntry(): *** Access to NTFS file
security information denied, file/dir skipped ***
08/14/1997 20:28:57 ANS4033E System ran out of memory. Process ended.
08/14/1997 20:47:50 ANS4847E Scheduled event 'TYPHOON' failed. Return
code = 4.
