We have an Oracle database on an NCR platform which we would like to
backup with ADSM.  SQL-Backtrack is not supported on the NCR platform,
and neither is the EBU and Oracle Connect Agent.  So, we need to find
another alternative to backup this db with ADSM.  Some of the database
files are raw files and some are file systems.

Given this situation, from what I could tell in the redbook, our
options are:


1.      Use dd to an intermediate device and back that up.
2.      Use ADSM pipe to backup the databse (no intermediate file).
3.      Oracle export (create an intermediate file).

  Does anyone out there use one of these approaches to backup their
oracle database with ADSM? If so, what platform is the database on
which you are backing up?
