question, but I wanted to check;

Does ADSM (Unix: Solaris) allow archiving to remote devices? i.e. if my ADSM
server lives on host "snoopy", can I write to a tape in
avocado:/dev/something?

On a related topic:

What's the largest number of tape devices you've found practical to attach to
a single ADSM server, if your bus is limited to, say, F/W SCSI?  I could drop
as many as 6 10G tape drives on my server, but if it's only going to
efficiently use three...
