Include/Exclude statements in the dsm.opt apply only to backup activity
directly.
But they do apply to archive activity indirectly by pointing to a
management class to use.
ADSM uses for archives:
1. Man.Class specified in archive command
2. Man.Class from opt-file
3. Default Man.Class

The grace periods in the policy set become only activated when you
delete all archive copy groups from the Man.Classes in question
(specified and default).

Regards,
 Michael
