Todd,

  You might look at the parm on archives to delete files after the archive
completes.

  Does anyone know if it is possible to define a copygroup or devclass that
will prevent a
  file from being stored at all?  (This seems like a perverse ability, but
it may come in   handy)

I am assuming that you are asking if it is possible to delete the files
from the client once a backup is completed.
