It is my understanding that the show commands are for IBM support to
diagnose problems.
"show" means show raw data in the server memory or in the database.  I
am not
surprised that they aren't documented, or that they don't perform well.
I know of
a number of others because level 2 has asked me to use them -- to good
effect, they
saved my database! -- but I won't publish them because I think they were
given to me
in confidence.

Functions like 'show volumeusage' have been requested at user group
meetings.  I think
this function will be in version 3.  This is the right way to get new
function
instead of asking IBM to document the show commands.
