Hello,

I want to use ADSM to back up a DB2 database (version 2.1), but there
is something that puzzles me.

Creating a backup is no problem and when I do a 'adsmqry [DATABASE]'
I get:

Query for database BBASE
   Full database backup image: 1, Time: 19970425125855, Oldest log: S0000000
.LOG, Sessions used: 1
   Full database backup image: 2, Time: 19970428132204, Oldest log: S0000000
.LOG, Sessions used: 1

<snipped>

No problem here, ADSM does what it is supposed to do: Making a backup of
my DB2 database.

But does ADSM create an infinite number of DB2 backup images on tape?
Or do DB2 backup images expire after a certain period, just like
an ADSM backup of an ordinary file does when the file has been changed
or deleted?

Regards,

Alexander
