Our ADSM server is at 2.1.5.12 and runs on AIX. We have 2 3590 tape drives.
Every morning after our incremental backups have completed, we issue backup
stgpool commands. For some reason ADSM dismounts the local pool tape (still
in the tape drive from the incremental backups) and then asks for it to be
mounted again in the same tape drive. Does anybody know why? ADSM should
know that the tape he will want for input is still in the drive, so why
doesn't he just use it instead of causing an unnecessary tape mount request.
Here are the messages from this morning (R00008 and R00012 are in the local
storage pool. R00071 is in the copy pool.).
