Hi All

Things are getting a bit busy at our site and I'm looking for some
monitoring tips.

I see lots of people start their questions with "I noticed it was taking
longer | not working | etc.."
We've got operators on site 24 hours a day 7 days a week, Netview 6000
environment,
PSSP 2.2 pman (SP2 stuff) and lots of scripts, end of days, adsm schedules
and so on.

Its not immediately obvious to me how I go about getting all ADSM incidents
reported to
the Netview station.

I guess I can have dsmc -console | some_script_to generate_traps to monitor
the central log.
Can failed/missed schedules be seen there? Do preschedule hook failures go
to the log?
Is there anything built-in the client code that can be hooked into when an
error occurs?
There will be lots of dsmerror.log files kicking about so it makes
monitoring that file difficult.

Any ideas etc? BTW environment is all AIX at the mo.

Regards
Alan
