I'm running ADSM for NT version 2.1 ptf1.
This morning I updated my copy storage pool with reclaim=10% to cause a
reclamation to occur. The first tape it asked for was originally 100%
full with over 30% of reclaimable space. The process ran until the tape
was 13.6% full, at which point I got these errors:
015:26:47 ANR9999D aftxn.c(855): Cluster occupancy went negative for
Volid=143, Ck1=51,
015:26:47 Ck2=2, PoolId=-1.ANR1181E aftxn.c190: Data storage transaction

rted.
015:26:47 ANR2183W afmove.c3071: Transaction 0:9515710 was aborted.
015:26:47 ANR9999D afmigr.c(2523): Space reclamation terminated for
volume CSTG01 -
015:26:47 unexpected result code (88).
015:26:47 ANR1092W Space reclamation terminated for volume CSTG01 -
internal server error
015:26:47 detected.
015:26:47 ANR1042I Space reclamation for storage pool COPYSTG1 will be
retried in 60
015:26:47 seconds.
When the reclaim process retried, it skipped the next tape (CSTG02 -
32.1% reclaimable space), and asked for the third (CSTG03 - 37.5%
reclaimable space). I cancelled the process due to the error. Now when
I try to start a reclamation, ADSM asks for the first tape again
(CSTG01) and errors out with the same messages as above.
In searching for information on ANR1181E, I found that this error has
occurred on OS/2 platforms when a tape becomes full during expirations
and migrations. However, in my case the tape is practically empty at
this point, and the tape it is reclaiming to is only 50% full.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any words of wisdom??
