Hello,
I installed and configured some weeks ago HSM on severl IBM RS/6000 running AIX
4.1.4!
On most systems everthing worked fine, but with a few systems I have serious
problems.
After configuration of hsm with hsmdsm hsm was activated, but within a period
of some hours the system wrote a dump and crashed with flashing 888.
After reboot, the same thing happened.
The system also crashes, when I try to remove adsm from the hsmdsm menu.
The only problem I found out was, that the deamons do not manage to create a
candidates list.
The only way to get the machine running is by removing the hsm startup in
/etc/inittab and changing the entry in /etc/filesystems.
I would like to know, wether any of you have had similar problems and if any of
you knows a method, to remove hsm from a system by hand, in order to try a
complete reconfiguration.
best regards,
Karl Molter
