Subject: phantom volume

Over the last few days I've noticed that ADSM has been attempting to do space
reclamation on one of my tapes many many times per day. This tape appears,
however, to not have any data on it. QUERY CONTENT shows no data on this
volume, also I cannot use MOVE DATA on it or DELETE VOLUME (even with
DISCARDDATA=YES).

Any ideas on how I can get it back into a functioning state? TIA for any help.

This is repeated about once an hour in the activity log:

03/21/97   09:42:52      ANR1040I Space reclamation started for volume BI0015,
storage pool FALCONPOOL (process number 253).
03/21/97 09:42:52 ANR1044I Removable volume BI0015 is required for space
reclamation.
03/21/97 09:42:52 ANR8324I DLT volume BI0015 is expected to be mounted
(R/O).
03/21/97   09:42:52      ANR1041I Space reclamation ended for volume BI0015.
