I would schedule an administrative command (daily or weekly) to do an
"EXPIRE INVENTORY" that will trigger the expiration of old client
files....
Also you will want a "DELETE VOLHIST TYPE=DBB TOD=TODAY-somenumber"
this will, if you are doing your daily "BACKUP DB TYPE=FULL
SCRATCH=YES DEV=sometapede" so the del volhist will delete data base
backup records older than the "somenumber" when used as above, thus
allowing the tapes to roll back scratch.
later

I am new to ADSM and learning the fundamentals slowly...Running ADSM 2.1.0.12, t
he DataBase is 2.2GB
and now is at 98.4 % utilized. Is there a way to expire entries in the database
thus reducing the
utilization.
I just can't see adding space everytime the DB fills up..I know as I add nodes t
hen my options
will to add disk(s). But for now is the above possible...
Thanks
