Julie:

Move data is the proper procedure for moving data from one tape to
another. The mount points refer to the number of tape drives available
within the device class which the storage pool belongs to. In order to
move data from one tape in the BACKUPTAPE storage pool to another tape
in the same pool, your 3590TAPE device class must contain more than 1
tape drive. Do a query device class with the f=d parameter against the
3590TAPE devclass to see what the mount limit is set to. If it is set
to 1 but you have more tape drives within the devclass, update the
devclass to reflect the number of drive that can be accessed.

If there is only one tape drive in the device class you can not move
data within the storage pool and must move the data to a different
storage pool and then back into the original storage pool.

Also based on the data in your message, when you move data from B001
to the same storage pool, data should be moved from B001 to B009, the
tape that is filling.
