ADSMers,
ADSM Server Data Archived to MVS Tape Via CA1 TMS 5.1
Situation:
We currently operate MVS 5.1.0 and TMS 5.1. The ADSM product archives it
?s data received from the clients to MVS/TMS managed tape. All MVS tape
transports writing the ADSM Client data are IDRC/36TRK devices. This
would indicate that any 3490E tape could hold up to 800MB per tape.
In the DEVCLASS for ADSM, the MAXCAP parameter is set to 800MB.
Question:
From the TMS side, we are not seeing any more than 600MB written to any
(1) tape volume. When we do a query on the volume from ADSM it say?s the
volume is only 80% full. How do we force ADSM to write 800MB on a single
tape?
